According to sources who spoke with TEAMtalk, a number of clubs are showing interest in Davis Keillor-Dunn, a key player for Mansfield Town, in anticipation of a potential January bid.
In just 10 appearances this season, the midfielder from Sunderland has already scored seven goals and provided two assists for the Stags.
And Nigel Clough’s team has had an undefeated start to the season in large part because to the 25-year-old’s form. They have so far won three and drawn five of their eight games, and they are now ranked sixth in League Two.
We do know that Clough will have to fight to keep Keillor-Dunn beyond the January transfer window, as teams higher up the football league table will be keeping a close eye on his performance.
In light of this, we understand that Hull City, Millwall, Plymouth, QPR, Rotherham, Blackpool, Barnsley, and Bolton are among the clubs attentively examining the midfielder, who only joined the Stags from Burton Albion’s neighbors in January of this year.
Keillor-Dunn has a deal with Mansfield that runs through the summer of 2025, but his pursuers are still closely monitoring his progress as the January transfer window opens in only 100 days, and a move to League One or perhaps the Championship may now be in the cards.
Sources: Swansea and Stoke are also interested in signing the great Manchester United player’s son, who Middlesbrough are eyeing up
When the January transfer window opens, Barnsley will have a tough time keeping hold of standout striker Devante Cole, according to TEAMtalk.
Cole, whose contract expires at the end of the current campaign, has eight goals in seven league games and now leads League One in scoring.
Cole scored 15 goals last season, and he has continued that trend into this campaign. In fact, his play has caught the attention of several Championship teams, with four of them reportedly considering making a move for him.
Middlesbrough, who are currently in last place in the Championship and have only scored five goals after seven games under Michael Carrick, is one of the teams showing interest in the 28-year-old.
The Teessiders are not, however, his only potential suitors.
Stoke and Swansea are also interested, according to sources close to the player. Cole’s old boss at Barnsley, Mike Duff, is currently in charge of the Swans, providing them a potential advantage in any transfer competition.
Bristol City is rumored to be another interested party. They had a significant role in his father Andrew’s career, who sent the athlete on the path to super-stardom. At Ashton Gate, Cole senior amassed 25 goals in 49 games, which led to a transfer to Newcastle United and the advancement of his career.
Cole junior might be excited about the possibility of following in his father’s footsteps if the Robins do make a move.
In any case, the Tykes appear certain to lose their top player in the winter window given that his contract will have expired by then and only have six months left on it.
