Today’s Rumor: The Hollywood Reporter claims that WWE’s new television agreement for SmackDown on the USA Network signals “the end of Raw and NXT on USA.” The publication was informed by a source “familiar with the Raw discussions” that the market for Raw is quite active, with “traditional linear networks, streaming services, and ‘unexpected players’ all interested.”
According to The Wall Street Journal, the five-year value of WWE’s new SmackDown TV contract is 1.4 billion dollars.
According to Fightful Select, Triple H was not involved in the decision-making process with yesterday’s WWE talent cutbacks. Instead, the cuts are directly related to WWE’s union with UFC.
