Mohamed Salah, a winger for Liverpool, lauded Kevin De Bruyne, a midfielder for Manchester City, for his intelligence.
The two have frequently squared off against one another for their respective teams in matches for Premier League championships in the past.
Salah has identified one City player in particular that he admires, but both Liverpool and City have had strong beginnings to the season.
Salah hails De Bruyne
Speaking in a recent video shared on the official Sky Sports Premier League Twitter account, which included a number of Premier League players building their ultimate top-flight player based on who has the best feet, upper body and head, Salah had this to say on which player he thinks is the most intelligent in the division.
He said: “De Bruyne because he’s really smart.”

City signed the midfielder back in the 2015 summer transfer window from Wolfsburg in a deal worth £55m.
Since then, the Belgian has made 358 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions, scoring 96 goals, providing 153 assists and winning a plethora of trophies along the way including five Premier League titles.
Salah isn’t the only person outside of City that has highlighted De Bruyne’s intelligence, as Thierry Henry said back in May that the midfielder has “the most clever brain” he’s ever seen in a player.
With that in mind and the fact that the 32-year-old has been involved in so many goals during his time at City shows just how much of an intelligent player he is in terms of getting himself in goalscoring or goal-providing situations.
