HOW COME THAT? After six seasons at Paris Saint-Germain where they shared a dressing room, the 24-year-old attacker sent a sincere message to the outgoing Italian midfielder on social media.
WHAT THEY SAID: “A remarkable person and player. Having you by my side for all these years has been a great pleasure. We will always remember and value your time spent with us. One of the top athletes I’ve ever seen. Thank you, friend; I’ll miss you a lot, Mbappe stated on his Instagram stories.
THE BIGGER PICTURE: After more than ten years with PSG, Verratti leaves the team in 2012. For the Parisian team, the 30-year-old made 276 league appearances and scored seven goals. At PSG, he captured the Ligue 1 championship nine times and advanced to the UCL final.
