According to sources cited by Football Insider, Andre Gray, a former star for Watford, has agreed to a one-year, £100,000 a week contract with Al Riyadh.
The 32-year-old was acquired by the Saudi Pro League team in a last-minute transaction before the Saudi transfer window closed on Thursday, September 7.
Gray is thought to have turned down offers from a number of clubs, including those in the UAE and other Saudi Arabian teams, before agreeing to a contract with Al Riyadh worth £2.5 million a year after taxes.
After mutually agreeing to end his contract with Aris FC last week, he has been a free agent.
Gray, 32, led the Greek team in goals scored previous season, but he has since left after they were eliminated from the Europa Conference qualification round.
Between 2015 and 2022, Gray played for Burnley and Watford in the Premier League, where he spent the most of his career.
He played one Premier League season at the Lancashire club, where he assisted the Clarets in their 2015–16 bid for top-flight promotion, before joining Watford in 2017 for a club-record £18.5 million cost.
Gray played for Vicarage Road for five years, making 125 appearances in all competitions and scored 21 goals.
Gray spent the 2021–2022 season on loan at Championship team QPR after losing favor with the Hornets in the latter years of his five-year contract. He then left on a free transfer to join Aris FC in Greece.
Following their campaign this summer to enhance their league competition with a significant investment in new players, Gray is now on the verge of becoming the most recent player to join the Saudi Pro League.
