Deanne Rose is the newest player to sign with Belvoir Drive, and the forward is looking to LCFC Women to help her improve her skills.
Seven players have joined Willie Kirk’s team this summer, and Rose signed on the dotted line this week, sealing a permanent move from Reading.
The striker expressed great pleasure in her first interview as a Leicester player about committing the next two years of her career to a team that, in her opinion, provides the ideal setting and chances for her to develop personally.
Rose said, “I can’t wait to start. The facilities are first rate and contain everything we could possibly need. I thought it was a good location to go since the manager exuded excitement about the upcoming season and the club.
I’m pleased to get the chance to participate in the Barclays Women’s Super League once more since, in my opinion, it is the best league in the world.
I want to be a part of the Club because its goals align with mine, it’s a historically significant organization, and the squad is undoubtedly expanding.
“A young crew adds excitement and new, energizing energy. It is ideal for me at this stage of my career to work somewhere where foundational work is being done because it is the best environment for my growth.
Rose, a Canadian international who had the opportunity to play for her nation at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, brings to East Midlands a wealth of talent, quickness, and pedigree.
The former Royals player was eager to offer her thoughts on a hard-working tournament for women’s football and explains her strengths as a player, despite not progressing past the group stages.
The 24-year-old stated, “It was a terrific experience to be at the World Cup. “The atmosphere was incredible, and Australia did a fantastic job hosting,” said one of the supporters.
“It’s usually difficult to concentrate at the World Cup because of the media attention and hype, but our team managed to strike a decent balance, and it was a tremendous opportunity to be there.
Although I haven’t had much of an opportunity to explore Leicester, I’m pleased to be here and learn about the local way of life. However, playing football and supporting the team are what matter most to me.
“As a striker, my game is all about scoring goals as frequently as I can, helping out teammates, and being aggressive and dangerous throughout games.
“I consider myself to be energetic. I enjoy bringing that enthusiasm to the group. I believe I have a rapid speed, which I hope will help the squad seize opportunities and have a successful season.
