Following his public argument with manager Erik ten Hag, English winger Jadon Sancho will not play again for Manchester United, claims one pundit.
For Man Utd’s 3-1 loss to Arsenal on Sunday, Sancho didn’t even make the starting lineup. Instead, Ten Hag went with Marcus Rashford and Antony in his starting lineup and Marcus Rashford and Facundo Pellistri as his wing replacements.
After the defeat, Ten Hag shockingly disclosed that Sancho’s lackluster performances throughout training were the reason he was not chosen.
Sancho, however, was not appreciative of this critique. He said on social media that the allegations that he wasn’t adequately trained are “completely untrue.” He continued, saying it “isn’t fair” that he has served as Manchester United’s fall guy for “a long time.”
Ten Hag is allegedly enraged with the 23-year-old for openly defying his authority. Ben Foster, a former goalkeeper for Manchester United and England, called Sancho “petulant” and claimed that if Sir Alex Ferguson were still in control, Sancho would leave the team immediately.
Prior to Thursday’s deadline for their summer transfer window, Sancho was rumored to be moving to Saudi Arabia. Al Ettifaq, owned by Steven Gerrard, were interested in him but were unable to pay the £50 million transfer fee that would have accompanied a first-round loan deal. This is due to the fact that, unlike some of their competitors, Al Ettifaq is not controlled by the nation’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

Stan Collymore, a former Liverpool and Nottingham Forest striker, has asserted that Sancho won’t ever play for Man Utd again. Collymore even indicated that the former star of Borussia Dortmund would team up with Jose Mourinho at Roma in the near future.
I simply could not see how he could recover from it. Collymore published a piece in his CaughtOffside column. I honestly think the Red Devils will try to offload him at the next chance, either on a loan or permanently. The entire scenario is quite similar to Romelu Lukaku’s second stint at Chelsea.
Jadon Sancho must leave Man Utd, according to a pundit
I’m aware that there are rumors claiming that Sancho is about to have urgent meetings with his management and the coaching staff, but I don’t believe Sancho will ever play for United again.
‘An old interview he gave when representing Dortmund has come to light. It seems to be something of a theme since Sancho also mentioned being used as the club’s scapegoat in that interview. He may have simply been really unfortunate, which is possible, but practically every manager and coach will now be weary of him because he has established a reputation for being a troublesome player who, in the opinion of his present boss, isn’t the best trainer.
I think European clubs are more likely to want him, so it will be difficult for him and United to find a club willing to take him, at least in the Premier League. ‘I wouldn’t be surprised if Dortmund and Bayern Munich tried to bring him back to the Bundesliga, but I feel Serie A would actually be the best destination for him at this stage. Working under Jose Mourinho at Roma might not be a bad idea, but I don’t think he’ll have many takers in England.’
Spurs and Aston Villa, two English rivals of Manchester United, have previously expressed interest in Sancho. However, as Collymore points out, Ten Hag’s allegations that he didn’t train adequately may have now turned them off.
If Roma is given the opportunity to get Sancho for a discounted price, Mourinho may end up loving the decision. Sancho would probably thrive away from the tremendous media attention that Man Utd receives.
Additionally, there is evidence to support the idea that Sancho performs best when he is viewed as one of his team’s key players. At Roma, this would be the case, but Ten Hag has access to a number of other elite attackers.
